Public Relations Plan for St. John the Baptist Church Addition

Dec 31 & Jan 1 – Bulletin insert letting parishioners know they will soon be seeing information on the proposed addition to the existing church – including video presentations of the proposed plan.

Jan 7 & 8 – Bulletin insert identifying the need for an addition and the names of committee members – along with dates of video presentations by Father Peter.

Jan 14 & 15 – Father Peter will give the first video presentation before (or after) mass on the outside of the proposed addition. Parishioners will see how it sits on the lot, handicapped accessibility, etc. Include a bulletin insert with picture of the outside.

Jan 21 & 22 – Father Peter will give a video presentation before (or after) mass on the inside of the proposed addition. Parishioners will see the locations of the elevator, office sacristy, meeting room, etc. Include a bulletin insert.

Jan 28 & 29 – Talk about estimated cost of proposed addition and funding before (or after) mass – or at a KC breakfast. Include a bulletin insert.

Feb 11 & 12 – Exploratory pledge weekend. Hand out pledge cards to be considered – in order to see if the funding is there.

We might consider doing a pre-showing to the Women of St. John’s as they have been fund raising for this project for some time.
